    The New Way

I am a new kind of Real Estate Professional. I mix the service of a traditional, neighborhood agent with the latest technology to get your home sold fast, for the highest price with the fewest problems.

I’m a second-generation Realtor.I studied economics at Westmont College in Santa Barbara and did my graduate work at the University of Colorado at Denver. I also have a certificate in computer programming from Denver Technical College.

I specialize in marketing and selling single-family homes and other residential units for primary owner-occupants. I know what it is to sell your house while your living in it, or to be up against a deadline to sell your house before you move.

I don’t claim to  be an expert in investment properties, 1031 exchanges, foreclosures or fix-and-flip projects. And I don’t do mortgage loans.

I do, however, have an extensive network of professional partners who provide the absolute highest level of services at the most competitive prices. Need a painter? A plumber? Accountant? Attorney? Call me first.

I’m also working to bring the real estate transaction into the new millennium.

I’m completely mobile, I work where it’s convenient for you. We can meet at your house, Starbucks, wherever you want. Everything we need is on my laptop. I won’t try to drag you into the office.

I’m completely paperless. I have the software to generate all of my paperwork on-line, and the ability to sign electronically, either on the screen in person or remotely via secure server.

Communication is constant. I prefer e-mails and text messages for their speed and efficiency. But I also know that we need to speak, voice-to-voice, often enough to stay connected.

In addition to all of the traditional methods of advertising (with the exception of print media, which is dead), I specialize in creating a dominant on-line presence for your property. Go ahead, Google my name and see what comes up on page one.

But getting eyeballs is only the first step in selling your house. We need to get them in it. And once they’re in, we need to sell it to them. Retailers know how to do this. Most real estate agents do not.

I believe that negotiation is different in the age of transparency. Buying a house isn’t like buying a used car. And this isn’t E-Bay. My pricing strategy is actually a strategy, designed to generate offers and the ability to reach a win-win agreement.

I use web-based tools to manage my transactions, giving all parties access to all the documents they need all the time. Nobody should have to wait until someones in the office to get a document faxed to them.

I don’t have a team. I believe in personal responsibility. When you hire me, you get me. When you call me, you get me.

So give me a call or send me an e-mail. I can probably come out and talk to you about selling your house within the next day or two. If I’m the right guy for the job, we can talk about the commission structure and how to get started. If it’s not a good fit, I’ll be happy to refer you to any one of several quality East Bay agents that I have a relationship with.

    Thanks for taking the time,

    Tom
